Aker Solutions Inc located in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a Sr Human Resource Business Partner. This is an on-site role.

What will you be doing? The senior business partner is responsible for coordinating all of the people functions of that location/area in accordance with the policies and practices of Aker Solutions. The HR Senior Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated delivery unit(s). The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Senior Business Partner acts as an employee champion and change agent and be able to perform the following:

 

  • Be able to consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with leader to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
We think you should have:
  • We are looking for a strongly motivated HR professional with a minimum of 10 years of HR experience and has worked in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of Lean principles strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
