Field Service Development Program (FSDP)
The Field Service Development Program is an entry-level program designed for individuals who possess technical skills or have a mechanical background. Our program is designed to develop qualified field personnel and future leaders. FSDP is a six-month program consisting of multiple rotations, were candidates train and work at various Artificial Lift locations. Rotations include (but not limited to):

  • Basic Training
  • Shop Operations
  • Field Training
  • Controls Training
  • Reliability
  • Well Monitoring


Every FSDP employee will have a unique experience that will enable them to progress their career and individual development. Assignments are high impact, focusing on delivering value to our customers. In this program, you will be challenged to grow as a problem solver and dynamic leader. Summit ESP, A Halliburton Service, operates all over the world, giving you the opportunity to visit and work in global and remote locations. You will be fully supported with mentorship, guidance and individual coaching. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be assigned permanently to a domestic location.

What You Will Do...
While you are in the FSDP Program, you will:

  • Setting up and repairing ESP surface controllers
  • Assembling and disassembling ESP systems
  • Optimizing ESP systems operations
  • Reviewing ESP operational data
  • Participating in failure review meetings
  • Working with customers to diagnose and resolve ESP system operational problems
