Southwestern Energy is searching for a Senior Air Quality Specialist to join our Corporate Regulatory Compliance Team.

As a Senior Air Quality Specialist you will assist in air quality related efforts including in-depth analysis of greenhouse gas emissions data and voluntary reduction initiatives. You will be responsible primarily for the execution of state and federal permitting, compliance, and reporting activities, primarily in our Haynesville Operating Division. This position will report directly to the Air Program Manager and be located in our Gloster, Louisiana office. You will be required to travel to field locations to provide air compliance support on short notice.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have expertise with air permitting, emissions inventories, federal and state recordkeeping and reporting, managing emissions testing, and interacting with regulatory agency personnel
  • Be a SME on all air-related issues, providing guidance on statutory/regulatory interpretation and program implementation, and assist in the creation and execution of educational and training efforts
  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, programs, processes, systems, and tools related to air quality permitting and compliance
  • Conduct internal compliance assessments and conduct gap analysis of SWN air quality programs and systems
  • Conduct both voluntary and mandatory GHG requirements, record keeping gathering and reporting.
  • Be responsible for understanding current air regulations, both federal and state, and for tracking proposed regulations to identify potential impacts
 

Your Background Includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related field of study
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience directly related to air quality permitting and reporting.
  • Air quality and compliance experience with domestic oil and gas production activities required, particularly in Louisiana.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal (e.g. NSPS JJJJ, NSPS OOOO, NESHAP ZZZZ, NESHAP HH, Subpart W) and relevant state air regulations and GP-5, GP-5A and Plan Approval processes is required.
  • Working knowledge of database management, Microsoft Office, ProMax, GRI-GlyCalc, and other relevant software applications.
  • Must be a US Perm Resident or green
