Southwestern Energy is searching for a Planning Analyst to join our Financial Planning team.

As a Planning Analyst you will provide technical support to petro-technical staff to aid in the planning and budgeting process of the company. You will be responsible for loading, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting information involving routine to moderately complex datasets. You will report to the Planning Manager. During high volume work periods, extended work hours may be required. This position is located at our headquarters in Spring, Texas.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding production, drilling, reserves, completion or reservoir data
  • Conduct lookback analysis and other reconciliations
  • Gather data and prepare documents associated with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist with generating monthly production/capital forecasts including interactions with other disciplines (e.g. reservoir, operational engineering staff & other analysts)
  • Support various division processes including well inventory, economic rankings, and annual program returns calculations.

Cross-train with corporate Financial Planning & Accounting Coordinator on corporate processes regarding corporate valuations, program returns, economic rankings, and other items

 

Qualifications - External

Your Background includes:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in ARIES and Access DB management is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Quorum's Enersight software
  • Experience in shale plays and/or multi-rig development programs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
