Senior Manager Procurement - NAM Projects
For Engineered Systems Projects, the Senior Manager, leads a team of sourcing professionals and coordinates the external supply chain activities from the kick-off through execution until the project close out, in accordance with the defined project and/or market strategy and the project execution teams. Operationally in the EP/EP+/EPC projects, maintains the sourcing strategy, organizes the team, and leads the external supply chain activities for the project team for an approximately $500M industrial projects portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs the external supply chain plan focused on the project strategy, schedule, budget, savings and quality targets along with any other necessary information from the external supply chain for the project.
- Proactively defines and executes the external supply chain strategy ensuring full collaboration between cross functional teams and stakeholders in accordance with the project requirements, market strategy, and planning for all projects within the portfolio.
- Fully accountable for the forecasting and savings target on the project and applies all standard levers available through the Sourcing Team, leads negotiations in key and critical RFP's, while satisfying the cost, schedule, and quality requirements of the project. Provides expertise in identifying potential procurement problems or conflicts, analyzing impact/ramifications and resolving issues.
- Reviews and oversees various requests for quotation packages, leads complex or schedule critical procurement negotiations, performs or provides oversight of complex price/cost analysis, serves as leadership interface with suppliers/subcontractors, oversees the analysis and evaluation of proposals, and ensures the final settlement and closeout of purchase orders
- Directs with Category Managers critical and strategic suppliers as well as working to develop new suppliers and alternative sources of materials and/or raw materials, aiming for high quality and low cost of products with a focus in best cost country (BCC).
- Champions, coaches, motivates and performs supervisory responsibilities of team members and assists in the development and training of new functional team members; hires employees; conducts performance evaluations; plans and approves salary increases; manages discipline; implements department and individual performance goals; and reviews employee's performance against goals.

Hard Skills
- 10+ years experience
- Must be proficient with SAP, Microsoft and Google applications.
- Above average analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess ability to read and understand engineering drawings with the ability to communicate technical information to various internal and external customers.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Supply Chain or related field required.
