Job Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sr Manager - U.S. Accounting. This role will drive continuous improvement, collaborate with the business, and deliver relevant and dynamic financial analysis via a best-in-class modern global accounting organization. The scope of this role will be activity at US based manufacturing sites.
? Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
? Analyze costs and partner with the business to identify and implement actions that lead to cost savings.
? Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.
? Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
? Analyze material and production costs, prepare regular variance reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and proactively work with site personnel to ensure variances are minimized.
? Assist with budget preparation or inputs into financial models used for investment opportunities.
? Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
? Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.
? Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
? Coordinate physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program, ensuring completeness and accuracy of Inventory on the Balance Sheet.
? Partner with the Argentina based offshore BSC (Business Service Center) team to ensure costs are recorded properly in the financial statements.
? Develop and/or review ad hoc schedules for planning and decision making, and assist with special projects as necessary.
? Successfully complete all assigned training
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (essential).
? Minimum 3 years financial/accounting experience
? 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential).
? Solid cost systems background.
? Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
? Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
? Excellent report-writing, communication, and IT skills.
? Drive process improvement by proactively seeking opportunities to improve, must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
