Overview / Responsibilities Wood is seeking expressions of interest from a Senior Mechanical Engineer with brownfield Oil & Gas experience to support a key client as part of a dedicated Owners Representative project team based in Perth CBD (Western Australia). This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity commencing mid-May 2023.
Wood's Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Kazakhstan.
Reporting directly to the Mechanical Team Lead, you will be working as a part of an integrated team to provide support for brownfields oil & gas packages.
Skills / Qualifications Please note you must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship. Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution with a minimum of 7 + years with relevant industry experience, you will have:
- Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry on brownfields projects within an Engineering / EPCM office or gas processing facilities
- In-depth technical mechanical knowledge - design and operation
- Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)
- Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Proven experience managing small teams of Engineers
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles
