Electrical Testing & Commissioning Specialist is responsible for directing commissioning and testing activities in the field.
This position is responsible for providing commissioning and testing solutions.
Location: Various Throughout the US.
Pay: $70-$80/hr D.o.E.
? Prepare and recommend testing & commissioning solutions to the Project Manager or client.
? Delivers solutions to Project Manager or Senior Engineer to address future client needs and provide cost analysis on testing solutions.
? Ensures the performance of all field testing on substation equipment is completed accurately and safely.
? Performs demonstration tests, as required, which are a series of functional tests designed to simulate real world conditions to ensure proper operation of yard equipment.
? Develops and executes substation equipment test procedures.
? Provide technical instruction, mentoring, guidance with regard to substation systems and electrical power systems to field testing technicians.
? Develop testing & commissioning departmental and project requirements.
? Ensure compliance of testing QA/QC process.
? Regularly meet and correspond with clients and outside personnel with responsibility to act independently on technical matters related to testing & commissioning.
? Manages marketing efforts for key pursuits.
? Consults with clients on testing and commissioning projects.
? Maintains client relationships with client field personnel. ? Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
? Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent. Requires fourteen years of applicable electrical testing experience. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
? Must have an expert understanding of electrical systems.
? Must exhibit advanced knowledge of electrical industry standards.
? Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, attention to safety, strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
? Must be advanced in the use of testing equipment and tools.
? Must have proven marketing knowledge and/or client relationships with testing and commissioning clients.
