Responsibilities Building on a very high level of technical knowledge and experience, the Technical Sales Manager (TSM) leads the team to proactively and strategically sell specific tools, technologies and services across the Weatherford portfolio. In alignment with the agreed sales plan, the TSM ensures a high level of technical knowledge support is provided to the account management team & overall sales process. The role also works with the GZ Sales Leader to establish customer relationships that enable the identification of customer needs and the positioning of Weatherford solutions. They also proactively support the development of x-PL selling opportunities across the Segment(s).
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for direct sales to operators and directional companies.
- Provide Product Line specific Technical Sales support to the customers through sales presentations, training programs, and seminars.
- Develop sales aids in the form of presentation material, CD's documentation, and procedure manuals required for specific projects.
- Assist with the development of quotations and Product Line related bid packages.
- Provide technical support for Regional Sales to present current technology in a direct selling effort.
- Train Regional sales on current technologies.
- Act as a market input source to Product Line Management for new product opportunities.
- Assist in development of annual Revenue Budget on Product Line related basis.
- Develop and present technical papers.
- Interface between customers, Product Line Managers, and Engineers on new product requirements.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

- Degree educated in relevant oilfield or technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in a combination of field and onshore technical support roles, preferably 2 years of sales. If no degree qualification then candidate should have at least 10 years industry experience, combination of field and sales experience.
