What's the role?

As a Master Scheduler for maintenance, you will be responsible for the coordination of the delivery of high quality schedules in primavera p6 supporting safe, effective, and efficient delivery of maintenance work at our Energy and Chemicals Park Rotterdam. This work is supported by an offshore team of 5 FTE.

Your main focus will be with maintenance scheduling, but you will also become part of a larger team that is responsible for (almost) all scheduling activities on site. This includes capital projects, engineering and construction, tanks maintenance and turnarounds. The ultimate aim of all these schedules is to facilitate a safe and efficient execution of work. We aim to improve on this by also making it possible to combine project schedules with maintenance schedules into an integrated plan (IAPS). You will be vital in realizing this ambition. This will give you many opportunities for innovation. You will not do this alone, but as part of a highly motivated and welcoming team.

Purpose:
  • Responsible for the coordination and quality of the delivery of maintenance function schedules in Primavera p6 that supports safe, effective and efficient delivery of maintenance work for Pernis. This in line with internal guidelines and recommended IAPS practices.

Dimensions:
  • Responsible for the coordination and delivery of schedules for all maintenance activities for Pernis, in part delivered by 5 FTE in offshore organisation (shell staff) . These schedules support 2 main areas 65 factories in 7 groups
  • No direct reports, but many interfaces to manage as the sole local maintenance scheduling focal point. This involves the coordination, coaching and quality assurance of approximately 4 to 5 staff located abroad.
  • Handles all exceptions and escalations of scheduling issues where remote TAO support proves insufficient.
  • Maintenance scheduling involves the day to day activities of 350 Shell and 500 contractor FTE and in addition expensive specialty resources such as cranes and vacuum trucks.
  • The maintenance work is done by many different vendors who's performance in terms of SPI/CPI will need to be tracked and controlled as input for contract holders and performance management.


What we need from you?

We're keen to hear from individuals with proven experience in refinery or petrochemical plant turnaround and project scheduling. You must also have substantial experience and advanced skill level in scheduling using Primavera P6.

We also hope you possess the following skills and experience:
  • GSAP sufficient knowledge to understand and manage interface with p6
  • P6 primavera expertise including TEAMMEMBER
  • Works effectively in a (virtual) team environment and build consensus
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and coaching skills
