Looking for an individual that has experience authoring automation software that controls hardware.
Primary expertise is manufacturing. This is not for IT professionals.

Role Summary
As an Automation Engineer, you will develop and implement new and improved methods for testing and automating harsh environment sensors used in nuclear reactors, radiation monitoring, oil & gas exploration, and natural gas turbines.

Your responsibilities will span from supporting daily production needs to larger projects that make a positive impact on quality, customer satisfaction, and on the Reuter-Stokes team in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Roles and Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Designing automated test systems using C#, Python, and other scription languages
• Perform test software integration and debugging
• Work with a cross-functional engineering team to develop and meet technical requirements of test systems
• Driving improvements to testing capability, documentation, and subsequent training of others
• Leading improvements in test setups, test automation, and trend monitoring
• Commission and maintain test equipment and systems
• Supporting Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) projects

Required Qualifications
• Have a bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in software development with languages such as: C#, LabVIEW, Python, VBA, VB.net, SQL, MS Access, C++
• Have 3 years minimum experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with developing, debugging, troubleshooting, and testing both electrical and mechanical systems and software
• Database design experience
• GUI (user interface) design experience
• Experience with communication hardware and protocols such as RS232, ethernet and GPIB
• Familiarity with electrical debugging tools such as O-scope, multi-meter
• Proven experience in problem solving and failure analysis
• Strong service orientation to the production floor and customers alike
• Demonstrable successes in a high quality and regulatory environment
• Ability to coordinate several projects concurrently
