Where you fit As a Site IT Operations Lead, you will be part of the Software License Management team that operates the holistic software license management environment supporting Project and Technology engineering applications of Shell.
What's the role?As the Site IT Operations Lead, you will manage the License Environment and ensure processes and tooling are aligned with business needs and data policies. You will be working with business stakeholders to ensure capabilities continue to meet the needs of key business stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to the successful execution of repeatable and consistent software license cost optimization, supporting remediation of compliance gaps and driving continuous process improvement
Other focuses include
- Understanding a complex Service solution which includes License hosting, entitlement tracking, contract advice, and license usage trends across, entities, Servers and applications.
- Interface with the Manage service team and Business for all requirements and escalations.
- Discuss business requirements with the vendor product management team to translate them into the product roadmap.
- Taking initiative and fostering collaboration and communication between natural team members on technical issues, process improvements, and remediation actions as well as identifying and escalating risks and issues
- Drive the License management analytics along with the Portfolio and Application operation teams to arrive at optimal license availability
- Managing license entitlement and distribution to external partners on behalf of Application Owners.
- Maintain the distribution mechanisms, process, and procedures, in addition to managing requests to distribute, and renew licenses
- Managing compliance and validation of licenses for all supported applications to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Identifying and driving opportunities for improvements, including process optimization and cost savings
- Successfully oversee supplier-delivered projects and activities related to Software License Management within the Global License Service
What We Need from You - With a minimum of 9 years of work experience with at least 7 year of related experience
- With a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
- Knowledgeable in Flexera, Microsoft PBI, IBM Cognos
- With experience in Software Asset Management
- With experience in managing licenses for Engineering Applications
- With experience in Data Analytics report
