Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer with extensive experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining or infrastructure industries.

• Prepare, check/review, approve conceptual studies, designs and detailed project drawings, proposals, design criteria & specifications, project budget and schedules
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and staffing forecast for all phases of project and manage change orders
• Deliver project adhering to quality norms, timescale and budget
• Supervise, guide and mentor the Civil/Structural/Architectural team and provide input for their performance evaluation
• Support creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction
• Provide technical leadership and invest in developing capabilities of the team members
• Prepare project documentations such as Scope of Works, Specifications, etc.
• Review the Client's comments and success parameters and verify that the Client's concerns are addressed
• Advise multi-disciplinary teams on facility development products or services to ensure successful project execution and continued process improvement
• Review the adequacy of proposed final design, possibility of more economical final design, and method of construction
• Provide technical advice to the Client

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer is a plus
• 15+ years relevant professional experience
• Extensive experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design Porojects
• Strong technical and Leadership skills
• Strong client management capability and network
• Experience managing teams' performance and development
• Advanced skills in design management
• Post-graduation diplomas (Masters Degree) is added advantage
