Role based in Singapore and supporting the equipment installation team
  • Under general supervision, supports the installation and commissioning of cementing equipment on offshore drilling rigs.
  • May also be required to maintain, inspect, diagnose and repair Halliburton equipment as per Halliburton procedures.
    • Equipment includes; diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, microprocessor controls, electro-mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearboxes, PTO's, generators, chemical metering systems, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls and a variety of other energy services equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts.
  • Performs function testing of equipment.
  • Third party personnel supervision may be required on some assignments.
  • Requires, workshop/yard, offshore and shipyard / quayside work.
  • Requires understanding hydraulic and pneumatic circuits/drawings/prints.
  • Required to assist Installation Coordinator and carry out rig surveys.
  • Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Installation Coordinator.
  • Reads and interprets instructions and procedures.
  • Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.
  • Supports plant activities in receiving and shipping materials and products.
  • Cleans equipment, touches up paint and assists with the preservation of equipment.
  • Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed.


Education and Experience
  • Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Technical School certificate and 3 years' experience in related fields or equivalent experience.


Role Specific Knowledge
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills (English)
  • Good reading and writing skills (English)
  • Ability to operate and function test industrial equipment.


Desirable Experience
  • Rigging and lifting experience, including overhead crane
  • Forklift truck licence.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment (i.e. Cat ET)
