Description: Provide procurement sourcing support related to Materials and Services for Texas Region. Manage inventory control and supervise Warehouse Technician.
Key Responsibilities Include: - Execute Supplier identification and qualification when required
- Competitive bidding process and analysis in accordance with Braskem policies and procedures
- Engage in rigorous negotiations to meet savings goal
- Formulate recommendations for Supplier selection based on Total Cost of Ownership models
- Work with Strategic Buyer in Procurement and the business to develop contract implementation plans suitable for that site
- Manage contractor/supplier relationships and develops measures to evaluate performance
- Oversight of Warehouse Technician
- Manage warehouse operations for the Seadrift Site
- Inventory Control (follow Add, Change, Delete Process)
- Receiving & Staging Process including MRP system
- Material Kitting Process
- Registered Materials Cycle Counting
- Inventory Reduction
- Review materials over max levels
- Overdue purchase order report to ensure materials readily available
- Manage Open Issue Area
- Manage inventory site audits when required
Requirements: - Bachelor or Associate Degree in Business (or equivalent); >5 years in Procurement is needed
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve business initiatives, but also be a self-motivated individual who can work independently to manage projects
- Ability to construct baseline spend analysis and create Total Cost of Ownership models
- Business acumen, customer focus, ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment
- Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and presentation skills
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with suppliers, co-workers, and internal customers
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements, and propose solutions for economic value
- Ability to negotiate effectively working knowledge of commercial terms and legal terms and conditions
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
- Ability to operate independently and to take the initiative in accomplishing job responsibilities
- Good communication skills with ability to interface well with wide variety of customers
- Positive attitude, with an open-minded approach to learning
- Available for emergency situations on weekends and nights, if needed
