My client, a large Engineering company, is hiring for an Analyzer Engineer to join their office based in Long Beach, CA. 

Job Summary: 

The Analyzer Engineer is responsible for performing technology evaluation, analyzer specification, design development, and implementation of the analyzer, sample system, and controls. This includes understanding client standards, reviewing process data and design requirements, and providing guidance on technology selection. The Analyzer Engineer will engage in defining the analyzer, sample system, and controls requirements of all project phases, including conceptual, preliminary, final engineering, and potentially operational support. In addition, the Analyzer Engineer will be part of the project team, which would include coordination with other engineering disciplines, meeting with clients, interacting with vendors, participating in project meetings, establishing project standards, and assisting in developing the project design. This also includes coordinating with and directing Engineers, Designers, and Drafters to accomplish project tasks.

Job Experience

2-4 years.

Education:

B.S. Engineering or related technological field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Chemical Engineering is preferred.   

Certifications:

Registration as Professional Engineer is desirable.

Key Attributes:

  • Participates in the engineering/design and selection of the overall analyzer systems for small to large-size projects.
  • Responsible for the engineering, design and selection of the overall analyzer systems.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interface with all client personnel and assist with direction of staff and CAD resources. 
  • Implements company standards, procedures, and tools.
  • Provides guidance, assistance, and direction to other engineers.
  • Must understand and apply all client and safety policies.
  • Technical Capabilities:

  •  Has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.
  • Performs assigned technical work, which may involve systems engineering development.
  • Establishes basic design and specifications for analyzer and associated instrumentation.
  • Keeps the Project Manager informed of changes to scope and deviations from design.
  • Has responsibility for all analyzer design work, such as installation drawings and details, loops drawings, logic diagrams, and vendor drawings.
  • Maintains close technical coordination with vendors and visits vendor shops if needed to exchange ideas and witness Factory Acceptance Tests.
