Position Title: Lead Instructor - Well Construction

Position Location: 2000 St. James Place, Houston TX 77056

Hours: Mon -Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Summary of Duties:

Develop and deliver approved technical training at recognized technical training centers to internal employees and clients as part of the Global Product Line Business Strategy. Develop and deliver basic, intermediate, and advanced technical training curriculum in a professional manner and to ensure that all technical training curriculum learning objectives are aligned with the appropriate product line competency standards. Provide detailed assessment of student performance, and provide comprehensive performance feedback to managers on their direct reports. Work with Technical Development Managers to evaluate existing training curriculum to ensure accuracy, relevance, consistency and alignment with strategies and goals. Developing strategies, and assisting in achieving the Training Department goals and objectives. Manage the Product Line's Asset and Inventory resources to ensure that all training classes are adequately resourced with tools and equipment Safety & Compliance. Understand and comply with latest Weatherford QHSSE & Compliance policies. Scheduling Work and Activities: use Employee Connect to schedule training, maintain rosters and enter grades. Understand and support measurements of the return of investments. Develop curriculum in conjunction with the Technical Development Manager to support sales and client seminars and workshops. Build a training class schedule in conjunction with the Technical Development Manager that meets the needs of the business. Prepare and deliver technical seminars and workshops to National Oil Company personnel and IOC personnel in the client's location. Build, Review and Update Work Instructions and Standard Procedures. Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field of study and 7 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

In addition, the applicant must have demonstrative experience with:

  • training employees and clients on re-entry and fishing technologies;
  • Learning Management System (LMS);
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP);
  • Microsoft Office;
  • Re-Entry & Fishing tools such as Whipstocks, Section Mills, Milling tools, Jars, and Well-Bore Cleaning Equipment;
  • welding, carbide application, pressure testing; and
  • repair & maintenance processes and procedures for Re-Entry & Fishing tools.
