The Explosives Coordinator is responsible for operational tasks performed in a warehouse and office environment: issuing, receiving, and counting inventory items, locating/logging items in the appropriate magazines/storage areas, and assisting with material control and security. The incumbent performs operational tasks associated with coordination, ordering, and staging of explosives and non-explosives materials.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Under direct supervision, responsible for ensuring timely materials goods movements, accurate and appropriate storage and movement of explosives products, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts on monthly basis to ensure accurate inventory records and reconciles differences
  • Works in conjunction and communicates with logistics providers to arrange collection and shipments of orders.
  • Semi-frequent forklift operation
  • Assists with the preparation and distribution of shipping and chain-of-custody documentation
  • Communicates regularly and proactively with internal stakeholders regarding status of shipments.
  • Maintain all documentation required by BATFE for acquisitions and dispositions of explosives
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures/regulations.


Profile and Experience
  • High school diploma required
  • Two-year degree and at least 1 year work experience preferred
  • Ability to speak and write English
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required
  • Intermediate computer skills are required, and SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Experience working with explosives and within a warehouse environment preferred
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work independently within set deadlines
  • Strong team player and effective communicator
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Knowledge of BATFE rules and regulations on explosive handling and storage is preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age


Additional Information:
  • Benefit enrollment begins within 30 days of hire date and coverage will become effective on the 90th day of employment.
  • Eligible to participate in the Halliburton Retirement and Savings (401K) Plan as of the first day of employment.
