QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Good safety record from past operations
• Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry and the company
• Valid US Unlimited Third Mates License with Liberian equivalent
• Valid US Passport
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist the Chief Mate / Captain in exercising effective control over the rig's marine operations with due regard for safety of personnel, maintenance of rig equipment, and protection of the environment.
• Help to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies (ABS, Coast Guard, SOLAS, MMS, IMO), as well as Noble policies and procedures. Work at the direction of the Chief Mate.
• Generate nightly stability and morning reports
• Perform maintenance on all marine related and safety equipment and report through the Rig's PM system.
• Serve as DPO/BCO trainee in order to assist and relieve duty BCO/DPOs as needed.
• Perform watch standing duties as required.
• Participate in regularly scheduled Emergency Drills as a team member, including Fire & Abandon, Security (ISPS), Man Overboard (FRC),
• Assist Barge Engineer with supply vessel and Helicopter operations, as required.
• Actively participate in Noble's QHSE program.
