Precision Drilling now has an opening for a Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) Superintendent at our Drilling Support Centre (DSC) located in Nisku, Alberta. The HSE Superintended will be responsible for implementation of HSE management system (MS), processes, policies, and tools for assigned rigs; Drives ownership, responsibility, and accountability for HSE; Communicates effectively to drive consistent implementation and compliance to the HSE MS, trend and measure the HSE leading and lagging indicators for the daily management of the rigs; Champions HSE to continuously drive HSE Performance.
Knowledge & Skills
Strong communication skills and an ability to work at all levels to implement effective programs;
Proficiency with written and email communication including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.);
Motivated to develop skills associated to HSE professional practices, procedures, and regulations;
Strong desire to support all levels of personnel;
Ability to identify and implement improvements;
Ability to perform under stressful conditions;
Probability and decision-making skills;
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
Effective organizational skills;
BS/BA degree preferred in Safety related program;
HSE credentials and/or certifications preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant oilfield experience with a proven excellent safety record;
3-5 years of experience in a heavy industry/construction environment (drilling rig experience preferred) with a proven excellent safety record;
Strong working knowledge in HSE Management Systems;
Strong working knowledge of Regulatory requirements;
Experience in Hazard Assessment and Incident Investigation;
Must have valid driver's license and be eligible to drive Company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy.
