Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a E3D Project Model Manager for our Houston, TX Office.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
The E3D Project Model Manager will ensure that the project is configured and operates within the 3D Guidelines as specified by the 3D CADD Admin Group for the current software deployment.
- Model QA/QC
- Hierarchy Maintenance
- Ensure that PDMS Best Practices are being adhered to
- Model Imports/Exports
- User Support (project floor)
- Cats and Specs
- ISO titleblock set-up
- ISO trouble-shooting
- Draft drawings (GA's, Ortho's, Safety, Vendor Skids)
- Navisworks model manipulation by model area, vendor skids, fabrication support, etc.
- On demand reporting for PM's, Engineers, Clients
- MTO Reporting
- Development of pretty pictures, posters, animations, load-out studies, fabrication sequence, etc.
- Model Review preparation, driving and action item follow-up
- Vendor data review and red-lining
- Equipment modeling
- Pipe routing
- Unique requests
Skills / Qualifications - A minimum of eight (8) years experience in Piping Design/Drafting
- A minimum of two (2) years of college or technical school in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
- Eight (8) years Offshore Piping Design in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Ability to work well with Clients, Project Management and team members
- Presents professionally with good communication skills both orally and written
- Expert level abilities with all modules of E3D/PDMS
