Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting a Contract Manager with unless 5 years of experience to be responsible for the overall commercial contract management with third parties for worldwide projects in Power Plants Industry

  • Negotiation of Terms and Conditions with potential clients and suppliers
  • Negotiates changes to contract scope or terms with the customer. Follows Change Management process to identify and approve scope, cost and schedule and manages risks
  • Set up standard and special subcontract terms and conditions applicable to each project
  • Analysis of norms and rules with impact in the business and advised the various departments
  • Enhance project delivery and avoid any risk or commercial exposure to Wood
  • Contribute directly to value creation and commercial gain to Wood and Clients
  • Support implementation of the Tender Governance Process within the group
  • Support implementation of Financial Management Framework within the group
  • Support cash collection program
  • Support safe working practices across the group commercial function

Skills / Qualifications

  • Degree in law, commercial/business discipline or similar discipline
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
  • Considerable Commercial / Contract management experience, typically minimum of 5 years
  • Experience in negotiation, claims & dispute resolution in energy industry
  • Experience in drafting and interpretation of contractual documentation
  • Competent in change management
  • Contract Manager must have good communication and negotiation skills, with the drive to support WOOD core values and commercial processes and procedures in an ethical manner
  • Safety focused with an uncompromising approach to risk management. Places the welfare of both internal and customer employees at the top of the agenda.
