PAINTING /COATING/ INSULATION INSPECTOR

  • With valid Coating Inspector Certificate Norwegian NS476 FROSIO Level Ill for Onshore/ Offshore (Equivalent to NACE Level Ill)
  • Performs non-destructive and destructive in-progress and final inspection & testing to validate Quality Control of various surface preparation and coating application, e.g. tanks & pressure vessels, fabricated pre-assembles/on-site assemble structural steel modules for process piping/well-site headers/pipe spooling/pipe rack /retrofitting process equipment/heater & filter skids / other custom fabricated structural supports & components, fibre glass reinforced lining / laminate system, cross -country pipeline construction/ field joint coating.
  • Review Project Specifications, Method Statement, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) for Painting/Insulation/Fireproofing works.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of approved Quality Plan, Inspection & Test (ITP) for EPC projects.
  • Follow up Technical Query (TQ), Corrective Action Request (CAR) and Preventive Action Request (PAR) as per issued Non Conformance Reports (NCR) or Audit Finding Report (AFR).
  • Interfaces with operations, client/contractor QA/QC and HSE staff to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Provide material recommendations on corrosion control, guidelines and relevant procedures for use based on process data, drawings and/or required parameters.
  • Basic knowledge of complimentary disciplines; Welding, Plating, Structural, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, NDT, CP HSE, including GRE/GRP fabrication & installation
  • Identify painting and corrosion/CUI problems, make independent judgment based on case history/study and help provide solutions.
  • Interpret and clarify code, and project specifications documentation.
  • Review turnover documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and read/interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in operation of several types of abrasive blast cleaning (open blasting, vacuum recovery units & internal pipe rotary blasting), liquid epoxy/urethane coatings using airless/plural component spray machine, in-situ FJC using automated blast cleaning/FBE electrostatic spray equipment), FJC/Fittings Thermoplastic/Polyolefin/Polypropylene flame spray method, spray/trowel applied fireproofing, thermal insulation application equipment, including Injection Molded Polypropylene (IMPP), flame/metal spray system and hydro jetting (high/ultra high pressure)
