Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to join the team based in Perth supporting an expanding team who work closely to provide solutions to our local and global business partners. This is a sensational opportunity offering the chance to join a dynamic and technically skilled group, working on world class upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities.

Our successful candidate will be actively involved in all aspects of structural, civil and marine asset integrity management for onshore and offshore (fixed platform) operational assets. A key element of the role will be the ability to understand the needs of our clients while developing effective working partnerships.

This position is offered on a permanent staff basis with ongoing career and professional development. Included in this role will be

  • Execution of structural integrity management activities across the operated assets:
    • strategy development
    • inspection scoping and planning
    • condition based risk assessment
    • response planning - including support to detailed analysis, repair options assessments, and execution
  • Inspection scope development and definition
  • Cultivation of positive cross functional client relationships
  • Consistent continual improvement within the field of Structural Integrity, working to keep updated on industry trends and technical innovations

Skills / Qualifications

In this role we are seeking applicants not only with strong technical skills but also the ability to work innovatively and autonomously when required. We are looking for committed professionals who are keen to develop their own skills and career while being committed to contributing to the success of the team as a whole.

  • Degree in structural engineering, qualification of MSc or PhD would be well regarded
  • 5 - 10 years experience in structural assessment from related industry
  • 1+ years experience in Structural Integrity Management from related industry with a solid understanding of structural behaviour
  • Experienced in performing engineering fitness for service assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to be an active participant in a rapidly growing diverse team of structural integrity professionals
  • Knowledge of code and standard based approaches
  • Strong desire to learn, innovate and contribute to both group and individual success and ongoing professional development
