We are seeking a Creative Program Specialist to join the Programs Division of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Department.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is an iconic landmark building, a beacon for knowledge to illuminate, inspire, and catalyze the potential of the Kingdom's vast talent pool. Ithra is an all-purpose culture destination, and an environment for transformative experiences to unlock the power of potential through mastery in arts, science, literature and innovation. Facilities include an idea lab, library, theater, museum, energy exhibit, art gallery, children's museum, and a knowledge tower housed under one roof to provide visitors with an immersive and transformative experience.
The Programs Division is responsible for planning and executing all of the King Abdulaziz Center 's programs, including, but not limited to, the Museum programs, Theater and Performing Arts programs, as well as Idea Lab and the Outreach programs. In addition, it is responsible for the Library and other educational, scientific, and technological programs.
The Idea Lab is the Center's creative component; it uses a project-based approach to engage its participants, stimulate creativity, foster innovation, and develop participants' skills in creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and entrepreneurship through mentorship and facilitation services that support them through the idea and concept development phases.
Your role is to devise, manage, execute, and administer various programs for the Idea Lab. These programs may fall in any of the areas of art, design, education, creativity, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, or a combination these areas. They may be programs on site at the Center or outreach programs locally and internationally. You must ensure the program is developed robustly, administered through a balance of in-house and outsourced resources, impact of enrichment is realized, and any financial and project management aspects of the program are dealt with
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop strategies for programs that deliver on desired social impacts. Create scopes of work, contracts, and agreements to deliver these projects
Manage internal and external resources and contractors to deliver on the services required. Develop strategic and operational documents for the programs to be executed and for lessons learned and feedback
Professional experience in marketing and branding in both industrial / non-industrial sectors. Vast knowledge and practical experience within the creative industry's trend of marketing and branding strategy.
Possess experience to plan, establish and develop strategy to support global positioning and branding strategy, professional experience to develop marketing and adv plans for community program and educational initiatives
Skilful in Copywriting, idea translation from concept to design, and creative campaign, Supervision of branding, marketing executions phases
Supervise the photo and video shooting, passionate, curios and demonstrates ability for creative thinking and innovative approach to problem solving and new innovative initiatives.
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor's degree in design, design management, creative arts, or equivalent fields. A master's degree is desirable. You should also have knowledge of design thinking, process, and problem solving
You will have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the design and creative industries, creative arts, academic learning, and teaching or more broadly, project managing large projects with diverse communities and/or working with multidisciplinary industries.
