Web Operations Manager - Digital Operations

As the Web Operations Manager at Baker Hughes, you will be responsible for developing the technical strategy and implementation roadmap for bakerhughes.com and other related online properties owned by Baker Hughes to support critical global brand and marketing initiatives. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with IT, digital marketing, product marketing, channel partner marketing, and brand communications teams to support customer acquisition and retention in both new and existing target markets. You will be responsible for defining and governing the use of online platforms and customer facing online applications across the businesses.

As a Web Operations Manager, you will:
  • Create the bakerhughes.com web strategy and roadmap to align with growth area marketing goals
  • Work with senior stakeholders to optimize the existing bakerhughes.com website navigation, refresh content and eliminate technical debt
  • Be seen as a trusted leader with the ability to influence, develop and maintain a highly effective team
  • Continue to enhance our digital properties through testing and modernization of the usability, design, content, and conversions on the website in partnership with the web marketing team
  • Coordinate with key authorities in SEO, Content Development, and Analytics to drive search performance in Google and measure performance on Baker Hughes' digital platforms
  • Provide thought leadership on trends and tools in digital marketing and their impact in our industry. Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data to drive digital strategy and execution
  • Partner with key marketing teams to review regional content targeting strategies and ensure the translated content process is maintained and governed
  • Implement best practice governance and processes across the Baker Hughes business for content briefing and uploading
  • Refine the feature development process with the program manager and web product owner
  • Manage 3-4 external vendor teams for the execution of Design/UX, Technical Development, SEO/Analytics, and Content uploading
  • Define and lead the web governance and preferred vender model for the Baker Hughes website
  • Mentor and management of the web product owner and third-party content support
  • Lead and support taxonomy/navigation alignment between all Business Units and HQ to execute an updated content architecture that is in-line with the Baker Hughes offering and brand
  • Facilitate feedback and communication between all internal and external vendors to ensure consistency, dependency planning, and risk migration
  • Support the web product owner with scoping and prioritizing large scale web projects
  • Ensure accurate and detailed design QA processes are in place to meet business requirements
  • Lead the audit, methodology, and process to execute a platform evaluation of the Acquia DAM to align to future business objectives
  • Own and enforce the full project plan and project management responsibilities of the implementation
  • Design and ensure proper Drupal integrations with Bynder and other platforms including Unily, Kapost, Hybris, and Marketo

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Have effective vendor management skills
  • Have experience working in cross functional teams
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to translate business vision into tactical execution and deliver results
  • Have extensive business acumen with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience including commercial operations, project management, operations, governance, and process improvement
  • Have a good understanding of SEO & SEM tactics and the impact they have on a website's health
  • Be able to use Google Analytics to measure website performance
