Export Control Analyst - ECCN (Remote)

Our International Trade Compliance Team ensures the successful delivery of our energy and technology products across the globe.

Partner with the best

As an Analyst of Internal Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for the oversight of business operational trade compliance. You will provide customs and regulatory advice to the business when process flow disruptions occur. You will partner with the global classification, customs, logistics, and business operations teams on delivering solutions to the business.

As an Export Control Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Advising Baker Hughes business on global export control and sanctions requirements, applying for governmental export licenses, and providing compliance advice and oversight for international trade activities on a global basis
  • Detecting and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements
  • Supporting classification, primarily software and ECCN's and verifying existing ECCN's.
  • Handling communication with immediate colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis
  • Contributing to projects as a team member
  • Providing and Maintaining trade data in International Trade Compliance (ITC) recordkeeping systems.
  • Assisting in the development of trade compliance policies and procedures, conducting training and audits, to ensure import/export compliance policies and procedures are followed


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in International Trade Compliance)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in classifying ECCN's and applying for export licenses.
  • Be authorized to work in US.
  • Have clear and compelling written communication skills
  • Possess high adaptability and flexibility in learning new skills and knowledge
