In this role, you'll prove concepts to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. You'll demonstrate, through test or analyses, the performance and implementation potential of a concept. This role requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge, function skills, and knowledge of relevant technologies.

As an Oilfield Corrosion Scientist, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Complying with all HSE and quality protocols and requirements, and following standardized test procedures and protocols.
  • Planning and performing laboratory testing - product formulations, sample preparation, and testing of samples to support technical service projects.
  • Supporting both technical service and new product/new technology development projects.
  • Analyzing data and communicate results through presentation and documentation to various stakeholders.
  • Traveling to field to implement recommendations made as a result of laboratory testing and provide onsite technical service.
  • Working self-directedly at times, as well as being a functional part of a team to meet company priorities.

 


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

 

 

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a Scientific Discipline or Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Have 2+ years' experience in roles focused on oilfield corrosion, chemical engineering, or similar.
  • Have experience with Production Chemicals specifically related to Asset Integrity Management.
  • Hold or be eligible to get a passport for work travel purposes.
