Position Summary

The Logistics Analyst II is responsible for the execution of both domestic and international shipments within their assigned area. They will ensure that all import/export requirements are in compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL
  • Supports internal business customers with requesting logistics quotes, booking freight, generating all import/export documents and ensures all necessary government filings are complete.
  • Obtains and provides shipping options and the costs associated with best route alternatives to internal customers for Oceaneeeing equipment in order to help determine best option that will meet the business and/or project expectations.
  • Validates vendor provided classifications and origin information.
  • Arranges and is responsible for all facets of the logistics activities for the business.
  • Provides trade compliance guidance and recommends solutions to internal & external customers, as needed.
  • Classifies materials (HTS and ECCN) for the business and ensures regulatory compliance with all import and export regulations.
  • Provides all import and export information to our service providers (i.e. USHTS #, FDA info, FCC certification forms, AES and other general delivery instructions) as necessary, to ensure products are moving to their final destination.
  • Availability for weekend work when required to meet business needs.

NON-ESSENTIAL
  • Assists with strategic projects to improve transportation efficiency, overall trade compliance and recommend cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or International Business or has a minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic or logistics groups within the Oil & Gas industry or with a freight forwarder.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience utilizing the Export Administration Regulations, US General Rules of Interpretation, 15 CFR, 19 CFR and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the US.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience and knowledge of US regulations pertaining to Valuation, Duty Drawback, Foreign Trade Zones, Post Entry Amendments and Routed transactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Availability for weekend work when required to meet business needs.

DESIRED
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with PeopleSoft

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and has the willingness to undertake new & challenging assignments

  • Highly organized, process driven and has strong follow-up skills

Additional Information

The position will be Hybrid - Remote work until our return to the office post-pandemic. Employees are expected to be able to travel to their designated office as needed.
