Our Assembly, Repair and Maintenance (AMO) Team is assembling and testing the latest products of equipment which is beating heart of our work. We collaborate with our service delivery teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, geoscience, to develop innovative best tools.

As an AMO Technician Mechanic, you will ensure safe and reliable AMO is delivered to the global AMO organization in a cost effective and effective manner without harm to people or the environment. This role focuses specifically on Completions & Wellbore Intervention within the Oilfield Services portfolio of Baker Hughes.

As an AMO Technician Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in incident investigations and troubleshooting and diagnosing artificial lift equipment.
  • Working to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices and quality standards.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists to follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
  • Scheduling maintenance of equipment, maintaining equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs.
  • Supporting equipment mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair on artificial lift equipment.
  • Assisting in the enhancement of maintenance processes, documentation, and quality.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Technical Diploma or a High School Diploma / GED with 1-year industrial experience (airline, military, automotive, electronics).
  • Have experience in Engine, Pneumatics, hydraulic circuits and ability to troubleshoot faults.
  • Have the ability to use multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other basic instruments.
  • Have a basic level of analytical ability to fault find technical problems and identify potential solutions.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
