Wood is currently recruiting for a Recruiter who is ready to join our global Operations business. This opportunity will be based in our Melbourne CBD office and is a permanent role.

Reporting to the Senior Resourcing Manager - APAC and working as part of a collaborative Resourcing team, you will support the full life cycle of the recruitment process for Wood's Brownfields Oil & Gas business across Victoria and Queensland. You will focal point candidate experience and sourcing while partnering with stakeholders working across candidate engagement, management and onboarding.

Skills / Qualifications

Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar Recruiter role and have relevant industry experience in either Mining / Construction / Oil & Gas market sectors. External agency experience a would be an asset, as would exposure to both white / blue collar sectors, but is not essential.

You must be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and be able to work lawfully in Australia to be considered for this opportunity.

In addition, you will also have:


  • Experience in candidate attraction and sourcing - advert writing, phone screening, CV reviewing, shortlisting, interview scheduling and networking
  • Excellent administration skills and flexibility to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Professional presentation and a proactive approach to tasks with diligent attention to detail
  • A "solutions mindset" with the ability to work under pressure while being able to consistently deliver within complex environment
  • Tech & Social media savvy with intermediate capability across MS Office (Excel, Word), LinkedIn and Applicant Tracking Systems
