The AP Lead is responsible for end-to-end payment handling and fulfillment for complex Accounts Payable operations. The AP Lead participates in cash management by ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and leads a team of AP Clerks, AP Payment Clerks and AP Analysts, and ensure knowledge is shared within the function. The person also develops and implements AP initiatives.

  • Set team's direction aligned with Company's goals, monitor and evaluate employees progress and development plans;
  • Determine the training and development needs for employees;

  • Oversee and manage the day to day operations for invoice processing and helpdesk ensuring Service Level Agreements are met;
  • Review and assess the teams workload on a daily basis and adjust the team's task depending the backlog
  • Liaise with relevant parties (buyers, requestors, suppliers, and tax etc) to resolve critical issues
  • Communicate with vendors, internal customers or AP team members as required to ensure accurate resolution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with each supported locations Finance and Operation's team to ensure continuity of service and partnership
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of each supported countries invoicing requirements
  • Familiarize and specialize in all technology solutions utilized by AP department
  • Prepare and review AP daily, monthly, yearly reports
  • Comply with all Finance and Supply Chain policies and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and up to date procedures
  • Ad-hoc tasks and projects as and when assign by management
  • Implement and document process improvements
  • Provide necessary AP training to business departments
  • Provide guidance/training to AP staff in case of knowledge transfers, new employees or procedure changes.

  • Degree in Finance or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Finance or Supply Chain SSC/BPO environment
  • Minimum 3 years SAP experience or other ERP system application
  • At least 1 year of managerial experience
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Language requirements: Romanian and fluent in English (comprehension, written and speech). Other language is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Self-driven individual - goal oriented
  • Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Effective Communication skills, both oral and written
