Job Description:

The position of Subsea Product Design Engineer, in the Engineering Department is based in Cameron, Colico. Cameron is a world leader in the manufacture of choke valves, actuators and other flow control devices for the oil and gas industry. The position reports directly to a Senior Subsea Engineer. The Subsea Product Design Engineer will work within a multinational team of Engineers and Designers gaining extensive experience in all aspects of the design of Oil & Gas high pressure, flow controlling devices.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Participating in design projects from inception to completion. This involves proposing and appraising technical solutions to customer applications and design of final product.
  • Providing support as required to the manufacturing location.
  • Review customer inquiry packages, preparation of product specification sheets resulting in quotations to customers.
  • Developing and qualifying product designs and developing the required design documents (i.e. instructions, procedures, specifications and drawings) for manufacture.
  • Document design analysis and review to documented Cameron design standards or other industry codes, standards and specifications and customer design requirements as applicable.
  • Preparation of all related documentation for customer sales orders, including but not limited to, product structure, part change history recording, assembly and testing requirements.
  • Disposition of Non-Conforming Reports
  • Perform other related duties as delegated by the Engineering Manager or the Senior Subsea Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 - 2 years' appropriate work experience whilst desirable is not essential.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office is desirable.
  • 3D modelling experience is preferable.
  • Knowledge of machining processes is desirable.
