DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
  • Provide accurate information during drilling of a well, such as Inclination, Azimuth, At-Bit-Inclination, Toolfaces, GammaRay, etc.
  • Maintenance of kits and surface/downhole equipment
  • Ensure accurate completion of paperwork prior to, during, and post job
  • Produce final well report at end of job
  • Test and maintain surface and downhole MWD equipment
  • Complete final plots for MWD/LWD downhole tools utilized
  • Responsible for rigging up and rigging down at well site
  • Work with Directional Drillers to ensure the work is meeting client expectations
  • Measurement of Tubulars
  • Transport Company equipment with Company Truck to and from the well site (MWD Tools, batteries, parts, etc.)
  • Proper maintenance and cleaning of company vehicle
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment;


Skills & Knowledge
  • Basic rig knowledge an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)
  • Team orientated; Ability to work within a team to assign/check the work of others and provide technical/functional support

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Education is a minimum requirement

  • Degree/Diploma in Petroleum, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred or post-secondary education in Instrumentation Technician/Electronics Technician

Any Special Requirements:
  • Willing to work away and live on work site for work rotations
  • Call out work environment
