This position will have overall responsibility for leading and directing all instruments manufacturing, including the receiving inspection, the board testing, the instrument assembly, and the instrument test and calibration. This role will be a key member of our supply chain team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Leader.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the safe, on-time production of high-quality products in a cost-efficient fashion
  • Leadership of the instrument production team
  • Collaboration with the sales team
  • Developing long-term strategies for optimization/automation of manufacturing operations in concert with company objectives

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and coach team members
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management to maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced and diverse work environment
  • Proven ability to implement and enforce process improvement initiatives
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in instrumentation and hardware development

Education & Experience

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Management or related program
  • Manufacturing work experience
  • Work experience in leading people/teams

Preferred:
  • Electronics industry manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing implementation preferred
  • Experience with using root cause analysis and Lean Six Sigma tools for process improvement and waste reduction preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP

Working Conditions
  • Up to 10% International and Domestic Travel
  • Ability to carry/pull/push/lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand/walk majority of the workday
