Schlumberger is currently looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Logistics and Imports / Exports Specialist.

  • Manage domestic movement of assets, products, and materials upon the request of the Business Line and fully compliance with regulations, standards and policies
  • Mainly in-charge of admin tasks and documentation of imports and exports
  • Must have basic understanding in planning and coordinating of shipments
  • Optimize equipment utilization, select the most cost-effective routings and MoTs and plan / book these shipments with approved carriers and 3PLs
  • Comply with the selection of preferred contracted carriers or internal fleet, and secure delivery as per the established service level
  • Business Lines focal point for their logistics movements
  • Validate transport requests and required delivery dates for a defined geographic region or lane(s) to achieve on-time delivery
  • Prepare equipment load plans per planning standard operating procedures to maximize rental and call-out equipment utilization
  • Leverage planning and use rate checker tools to achieve competitive costs by applying preferred contracted rates
  • Plan effective shipment/truck routings, leverage consolidation/cargo optimization, and maximize backload opportunities to drive down costs where possible
  • Manage weekly fixed schedules and regional milk runs
  • Issue work orders before each move with associated cost approvals
  • Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities
  • Monitor cargo movements status and performances and investigate deviations
  • Assess carrier performance with respect to on-time pickup and on-time delivery
  • Monitor and capture logistics milestone data in the business system

Working hours:

Monday to Friday with weekend on call roster

  • Must have full right to live and work in Australia
  • Reside in Perth or Brisbane (no relocation support)
  • Minimum 2 years in the logistics or import/export functions with specific understanding of supply chain, planning, scheduling, and logistics concepts is highly recommended
  • Highly self-motivated
  • A passion to work in Logistic role and understand basic Supply Chain models
  • Competent computer skills
  • Can work in a high-pressure environment, learn quickly and adapts to new problems and situations
  • Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization, and a good communicator
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Available to start as soon as possible
