Baker Hughes DS- Nexus control is focused on engineering and services of Nexus Oncore and associated HMI systems. This role will be involved in all green field and brown field Turbine/Compressor controls projects.

As a Controls Engineer- Turbine/Compressor, you will support controls project execution and improvement of processes and tools in Unit controls to increase quality and reduce cycle time

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Working under guidance of Lead Engineers to achieve timelines & quality of control system projects.
  • Lead controls configuration for Nexus Turbine Controls projects and ensure support for seamless site commissioning.
  • Sharing feedback and lessons learned from internal and external customers. Incorporate into design engineering and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Applying knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs
  • Working closely with other functions in the team to develop opportunities and to advocate Nexus controls products to customers
  • Supporting the root cause analysis/investigation activities for product technical issues.
  • Supporting unplanned/forced outages to satisfy urgent customer needs.
  • 30% of the travel may be required
  • Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Be a Bachelor degree holder in I&C, Electrical engineering from an accredited university with 1-3 year work experience.
  • Be willing to work off hours and weekends to support emergency site issue resolution.
  • Experience with controls platform DCS, PLC.
  • Knowledge in Cyber Security
  • Experience in developing and debugging functional block based and / or ladder-logic and programming with HMI interfaces
  • Experience in interfacing with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Have Chemical, metal plant, thermal plant, refinery, or other related experience
