Interact with the Maintenance and Operations department to optimize production by establishing work priorities and providing feedback to the operating groups on equipment performance and concerns.

Manage contractor craft workforce capacity to meet refinery improvement requirements.

Ensure regulatory compliance and integrity management programs for equipment including pressure vessels, relief valves, pipelines and piping.

Accountable for ensuring all refinery Safe Work Practices are well understood and consistently followed.

Owns, investigates and follows up on corrective actions for Risk Rank III incidents within area.

Lead and coordinate the efforts of a maintenance team to deliver maintenance services in a safe and cost-effective manner to complete improvement initiatives as identified.

Prepare and steward improvement project budget.

Operationalize maintenance and reliability processes, tools, audits, inspections, investigations and stewardship to ensure an active safety culture and leadership.

Drive reliability and availability of assets through development, implementation and adherence to Suncor's maintenance and reliability processes, and execution of equipment strategies and preventative maintenance programs.

Liaise closely with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to effectively prioritize and execute the maintenance strategy and plan.

Ensure compliance with Suncor OEMS elements, company processes, standards, procedures and regulatory requirements including Management of Change

Ensure all maintenance-related mechanical integrity procedures are accurate, thorough, and up to date, and that they are well understood and followed.

Implement the requirements of Contractor Management to ensure all purchased goods meet quality standards and all services are conducted in a safe, environmentally sound and cost-effective manner.
