Wood is currently seeking a Study Manager / Project Manager in order to grow its Perth Mining & Mineral group to meet the large demand in criti cal metals projects.
Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals re quired for this revolution. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.
This position is a full time permanent role reporting directly to the Technical Director of Studies, working in our newly fitted offices in the Perth CBD. We have an onsite gym with five star end of trip facilities available.
Skills / Qualifications
This position would suit existing experienced study managers in an EPCM environment or managers. The ability to comprehend whole of mine operations from orebody to market and the related technical and economic interactions within such systems is important.
With relevant qualifications in engineering, you will also have:
- Extensive experience leading and managing engineering studies
- Knowledge of process plant design, construction, commissioning and operation and associated infrastructure
- Experience developing proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix structure, liaising with and securing resources from functional heads and working groups
- An understanding of change management and the ability to translate this understanding into appropriate action
