Event Coordinator

Our team is currently seeking an experienced event professional to execute company events and increase employee engagement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and executing corporate meetings and events ranging in size from 50-1500+ attendees.

To be successful in this role, you'll need exceptional project management and logistics skills with the ability to communicate effectively and partner with a cross-functional team that includes Digital and Creative Services, Communications, and Social Responsibility and Community Affairs.

This role includes, but is not limited to event operations, logistics, communications, budget management, post-event impact analysis and continuous improvement. We work in a fast-paced environment, and you'll need to be ready to manage multiple project deadlines and budgets with agility and excellence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects concurrently
  • Maintains a disciplined and effective project management approach to corporate events
  • Ability to anticipate and manage all logistical details of events, including but not limited to: venue and site selection, floorplans, audio/visual support, marketing collateral and signage, photography, transportation, catering, lodging, etc.
  • Analyzes data and provides insights that drive continuous improvement of the organization's employee engagement strategy
  • Collaborates with Communications team members to develop messages and event marketing collateral that resonate with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Works effectively and comfortably with leaders and stakeholders within the Public Affairs function, across the organization, and outside of the organization
Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing Communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced events environment with track record of creating and executing successful in-person events
  • Combined corporate or agency experience creating and executing successful in-person events
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy, collaborative personality, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.

Additional Information

  • This position will report to the Digital and Creative Services Manager
  • This position will be based in Houston, Texas, and is eligible for a flexible work schedule.
  • Occasional availability outside standard working hours (early morning, evenings, weekends, etc.) required
