The international company within the chemical industry is currently looking for an HSE engineering contractor to join their Brussels location. In this role you will be joining an international environment and be reporting to the HSE-line manager.
This company has over 10.000 employees in more than 50 countries spread among 6 different continents.

Responsibilities as an HSE-Engineer:
  • To be fully aware of the Project HSE requirements, ensuring that all company requirements, standards, and guidelines are followed and implemented.
  • To ensure that HSE is considered as priority and lead by example.
  • To monitor the updates of regulation, laws and standards that may have an impact on the day-to-day activities.
  • To support the Project Managers and the Project Teams by reviewing and completing Project HSE in construction plans and deliverables.
  • Ensure the outcome of HSE studies are incorporated in the project HSE Construction plans.
  • To actively participate in project risk assessment sessions with focus on design, constructability, and construction activities.
  • To prepare HSE technical specifications and procedures
  • To support other disciplines in terms of HSE topics for contractor selection
  • To ensure that Yara contractual requirements are properly implemented in projects in design/construction phase by local examinations (audits)
  • To review and follow up HSE issues and interfaces external to the project
Role requirements:
  • Prevention level 1 or 2
  • VCA-VOL certification
  • You are a freelance / ZZP'er
  • +5 years of experience in HSE CAPEX projects
