Field Application Engineer - Critical Infrastructure

Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Field Application Engineer to work in the Southern California Market, working with and building lasting relationships with their long-term customers, many of which are in the Fortune 100 size and importance.

The successful candidate has a proven background and experience as a Field Application Engineer, including field commissioning of technical products both hardware and software, project tracking and execution skills.

Our client's applications are designed around a layered, multi-technology approach comprised of industrial grade products including IP cameras, video analytics, radar (both ground and drone), speakers, video management systems, networking and power.

The position requires travel, along with remote home office, including but not limited to; climbing and use of ladders, working in confined spaces, and safety familiarity working within active construction areas. Candidate should be competent in networking - they will train as needed for video and radar.

• Engineering support of project lifecycle, from design thru project closure
• Ensure project plan is well defined and resourced properly
• Drive projects to completion through hand-on approach
• Design, implementation and commissioning of projects that include:
             o Networking, Video and Radar
• Cultivate strong working relationships, both internal and external
• On-site contractor and customer training as needed
• Innovating solutions and quickly resolving issues

• BSEE/CSE or equivalent
• 5+ years Field based experience - travel averages up to 40% of time
• Technical proficiency in design, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Project Management skills desired
• Working knowledge of networking, Cisco CCNA a plus
• Strong attention to detail and documentation requirements
• Able to work independently in the field, supporting a team-based environment
• Experience working with Contractors, Integrators and/or End Users
• Self-motivated with the skill and discipline necessary to meet deadlines
