Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Structural Engineer, Registered as a Professional Engineer (ECSA) with extensive experience in mining and minerals industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Technical and administrative responsibility on structural engineering matters.
  • Monitor progress and performance of structural engineering team.
  • Give input and provide feedback and support where necessary.
  • Provide technical and administrative direction on project related matters.
  • Coordination of engineering and drawing packages.
  • Liaise and be focal point for transfer of information with all other project team members, fabricators, construction, vendors and engineering management as necessary.


Skills / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 10 to 15 years of structural engineering detail design on mining and process plant, within aqn EPC/EPCM.
  • Experienced in a lead engineering role on large and complex industrial structures within a 3D environment.
  • Ability to coordinate complex workload (including workshare with external engineering and drafting resources).
  • Ability to manage and interface with similar internal technical leads in other countries.
