Position Summary

As a Thermal Analyst for Oceaneering Space Systems, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to the International Space Station/ISS and Artemis Program, The Lunar Platform, and Lunar Landers. Working in the team environment on the space suits and associated hardware, you will perform Thermal Analysis via SINDA, Thermal Desktop etc., to ensure the space suits and hardware can survive the hostile environments of space.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop thermal models and perform thermal analysis
  • Support the coordination and integrate Subcontractor generated thermal models with OSS generated thermal models of the Integrated Space Suit, Subsystems, and components.
  • Support the efforts to review thermal models and results provided by Subcontractors to ensure appropriate analyses were done correctly and meeting requirements.
  • Support the efforts to prepare PDR and CDR presentations and reports based on analysis and test data.
  • Help to prepare and coordinate formal design approval documentation and coordinates design approval with customers.
  • Support company IPTs customer design reviews, and miscellaneous project-related meetings, teleconferences, etc.
  • Support the efforts to document analysis results and generate reports for final submittal.
  • Assist Project Managers and Integrated Product Teams in support of the customer, including preparation of proposals, change requests, design reviews, and other requirements related to the design effort.

Qualifications

Required:
  • BS in the applicable engineering field or equivalent and 0-6 years direct experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • US citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred:
  • Basic knowledge of human space flight and commercial payloads, thermal protection systems, and space life support.
  • Experience in Creo and Solidworks.
  • Experience in FEMAP and MathCAD
