Senior Process Engineer

Duration: 12 month+ contract role


We are recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in Oslo, on a long-term contract basis and with an urgent start, sounds attractive right?


The client is an international provider of Process Design and Engineering services to the Offshore Industry located in Oslo, working with Oil&Gas, Carbon Capture, and CO2 / hydrogen handling and storage.


This means that there is a great variety of opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer within the business, and the flat structure within allows autonomy for an individual to forge their own path on a project. The client likes to focus on interdisciplinarity and offer engineers the opportunity to hold a number of roles within projects.


But what is required day to day to be part of a team working on ongoing projects, both within oil & gas and energy transition?


Typical tasks will be:


  • Process leasing or engineering manager for studies and EPC projects
  • System responsibility for process design, incl. P&ID and PFD/UFD development
  • Equipment calculations and evaluation
  • Ensure process design based on customer requirements and international standards
  • Process Simulation (HYSYS/UNISIM)
  • Interaction and coordination with other disciplines within the project

You will be part of our process team and will lead/participate in the engineering/process work in EPC projects, studies and offerings. This will typically involve managing the technical work, managing the process team, process simulations, calculations, developing PFDs and P&iDs, data sheets, technical requisitions, package follow-up, etc. There are also opportunities for construction follow-up and participation in commissioning and start-up.


Your background:


  • Master degree qualification within relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Norwegian energy market.
  • Must have experience with engineering work in oil & gas/energy/industry
  • Experience with HYSYS/UniSim, PFD and P&ID development.
