Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Houston, TX. Hybrid (Option to work remotely 2 out of 5 days per week)
Description: The Manufacturing Engineer performs the lead role in the implementation of manufacturing processes and techniques and the implementation of LEAN and use of Six Sigma tools. He/she is the owner of their respective manufacturing processes and standards and enforces implementation by training shop floor personnel, implementing and monitoring metrics, and oversight. He/she is responsible to solve complex manufacturing problems and take an active role in troubleshooting quality and production yield related issues within manufacturing.
Responsibilities: - Lean Six Sigma
- Responsible for the design and continuous improvement of processes using Lean concepts, such as: standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and work sequence (routing) optimization, training development matrix, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S workouts, pull processes, TPM (total preventive maintenance), cell design, and quick changeover/batch-size optimization.
- Drive process optimization using Six Sigma tools such as Design of Experiments.

- Leads the production team in designing and continuously improving manufacturing process to improve yield, cycle time and productivity.
- Implement engineering specifications into processes and provides shop feedback to capture lessons learnt for existing and future designs.
- Creates, implements, and monitors key performance indicators and metrics on manufacturing process capability and product quality.
- Implement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield (e.g. First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction and productivity.
- Creates, implements, and monitors key performance indicators and metrics on manufacturing process capability and product quality.
- Production.
- Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMs (e.g. through the use of Engineering Change Requests - ECRs).
- Review and sign-off on Engineering Change Orders that impact Inventory - including product life cycle issues, obsolescence, etc.
- Monitoring and reducing process costs.
- Quality.
- Responsible to assist with investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issues.
Qualifications and Experiences: - BS/ MS in Industrial Engineering or Electrical, Mechanical with knowledge of LEAN
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Basic understanding of manufacturing resource planning, demand planning and forecasting.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing industry or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred
- MRP experience is preferred
- Candidates should be able to work and reside in the US without sponsorship
