Working with both the Compliance Manager and the Controls & Accreditation manager, the Compliance Analyst's role is to ensure that SLB Cyber Security, IT and Digital Operations, Standards and Procedures meet Corporate, Customer, Government and Industry requirements and regulations. Working across SLB they research Standards and Policies, communicate requirements, and to ensure we have fit for purpose compliance monitoring.

This position requires a self-driven individual, with sound knowledge of business processes, a good knowledge of security or IT technologies and good communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a strong impact across a company participating and driving a key Risk mitigation program.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Compliance analysts will contribute to system developments to deliver and maintain our compliance system.
  • Ensure documentation and evidence is updated to help SLB remain compliant with regulations and preparing for audits and/or Customer Assessments
  • Communication across the teams is key to educate, and project manage where needed, to ensure that all members of Cyber Security, IT and Digital teams are aware of their responsibilities and updates are tracked.
  • Researching industry compliance regulations and policies.
  • Evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance.
  • Analyzing and working with the owners, updating existing compliance standards and policies and related documentation.
  • Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated teams.
  • Developing and maintaining a compliance recordkeeping system.
  • Monitoring the Compliance Dashboard and ensuring out of Compliance issues are addressed
  • Monitoring Compliance Risks to ensure actions are completed
  • Updating the Controls Catalog with Compliance Related data
  • Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
  • Conduct and support assessment of risks with proposed mitigation and compliance measurements

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in engineering, computer science or computer information systems is strongly preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of Cyber Security experience, with a focus on Cyber Compliance for at least 3 years
  • Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials would be a strong plus
  • Must understand the cyber security concepts that they are analyzing. So previous experience in the Cyber and Compliance domain is a must.
  • Risk assessment is major component of the compliance analyst role. The Compliance Analyst needs to be able to understand the Risks behind the need for compliance and propose/manage actions to mitigate risks.
  • Experience with the following Industry Standards and Frameworks; NIST CSF, NIST SP-800-53, IEC 62443 Series, ISO 27001
  • Compliance Analyst must be able to communicate effectively and act as an interpreter between different stakeholders to translate compliance requirements understandably.
  • Excellent communication abilities (oral and written) to work effectively with peers from different parts and levels of the organization and with different backgrounds (including non-IT).
  • Advanced organizational skills with abilities to prioritize and multi-task, as well as perform in a fast-changing environment. Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required for this role.
  • Fast and self-driven continuous learner, ethical, highly dependable, with high standards and a strong attention to detail.
  • Efficient and productive whether working alone or collaborating in a team.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when required and appropriate
  • Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to customer service and be committed to pro-active review of processes and procedures to continually enhance service quality, service delivery and support
