Position description

Saudi Aramco, the world's largest integrated oil, natural gas, and petrochemicals company, is seeking to find an attorney with at least six years of sophisticated experience to provide corporate governance and compliance support to the board of directors of Saudi Aramco and its committees.

Based at company headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, this attorney will join the Law Organization's Corporate Secretariat Practice Team and work closely with the company's corporate secretary and general corporate and compliance attorneys in providing applicable governance and compliance support to Saudi Aramco's board and its committees. Responsibilities may include advising on corporate law, filing obligations, director duties, board approvals, director independence, director conflicts of interest, board and board committee self-assessments, shareholder matters, etc .

Minimum requirements

Candidates for this position should have: 1) at least six years of experience with a strong law firm, large corporation, or other sophisticated business organization; 2) experience providing support to a sophisticated board of directors and/or board committees; 3) general corporate experience; 4) excellent communication skills; 5) experience providing concise, clear, support to internal clients; and, 6) leadership and mentorship experience.

Strong general transactional and securities attorneys are encouraged to apply.

Energy industry (oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or oil field services), international or securities experience is a plus.

Public company experience also preferred.

Candidates must be currently licensed, admitted to practice, and in good standing in the United States, and have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
