Position Summary

The primary purpose of this job is to support the company's PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other finance related software. This support includes the management of Financial administration, configuration and maintenance of the software. The secondary function of the job is to manage and assist with new application implementations and the enhancement of existing applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance on the development and use of company's PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and other systems utilized by the company's global financial modules that include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense Reporting, Treasury, Cash Management, Project Costing, Asset Management, Billing, Contracts and Order Management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders company-wide to establish Financial systems requirements and service level expectations and develop strategies and operational system to meet expectations.
  • Leads and directs the work of Technical Solution Leads, Technical Solution Analysts within Finance domain
  • Collaborate with business leaders in Asset Management, Operations, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to build understanding of best practices in the Financial systems and to design and align system strategies and priorities appropriately.
  • Manage and develop team members to resolve day-to-day PeopleSoft Financial Module application issues, communicating with Corporate and Regional Business office management to understand system challenges and deliver solutions to best serve the needs and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Monitor PeopleSoft Financial Modules functional performance metrics and perform analysis to determine if the software use is optimal for financial transactions and reporting and/or review and recommend changes or future software enhancements or upgrades to improve business processes.
  • Coordinate and manage the entire IT Financial project lifecycle including management of scope, business requirements, functional and technical specifications, system testing, Business User Acceptance testing, development of test plans, implementation, deployment and phase management.
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining the PS Financial application modules project master schedule.
  • Organize, manage and conduct Financial module steering committee meetings to provide management oversight and guidance to the Financial IT team, Corp Finance group and regional business offices.
  • Provide regular, ongoing feedback to functional business managers, IT management, Executive sponsor, Steering Committee and other key stakeholders on project and ongoing support performance, status, issues and risks.

  • Identify, manage and negotiate schedules, milestones, issues, resources and mitigate scope creep required to meet project objectives.
  • Effectively communicate and manage PS Financial team's responsibilities, assignments, and deliverables.
  • Manage the support of all end users' of the ERP System Financial modules and related systems with processes, operation, trouble shooting and maintenance.
  • Manage the techno-functional requirements gathering, testing and implementation of software updates, enhancements and upgrades to ERP financial modules to allow for application into the production environments.
  • Manage small to large scale projects of all types and sizes. Projects to include system upgrades, new system design, company mergers and acquisitions, and overall financial system structure changes.
  • Manage software development of Financial system requests.
  • Accountable for IT Financial system module department's project schedules, management reports and presentations for project status and core business applications direction.
  • Establish and manage positive business relationships with third party consultants and contractors that are engaged to assist with IT Financial system module projects.
  • Manage Financial systems implementation, business process re-engineering providing on-going support to systems and utilizing best business practice.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, promote and manage high performing Financial Systems team members to achieve expected results in performance and operational support and to develop future leaders for the functional IT Financial organization.
  • Actively participate in ongoing process improvement efforts, recommending system changes where appropriate in order to increase efficiencies, eliminate waste in order to contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary and participate in special projects as required.
  • Travel required, both Domestic and International.

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, Information Management, Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Master's Degree a plus
  • Minimum eight (8) years of PeopleSoft 9.x ERP financial applications experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL
  • Minimum 5 Years of experience with IT systems and their use such as Active Directory, databases and networks
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a financial projects and experience of minimum of 2 ERP upgrades.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing applications where formal IT Change Management, Segregation of Duties and SOX compliance was mandatory.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours due to collaboration with colleagues in other time zones and project timelines.
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, up to 5%.
