Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer, you will design, build, and support the systems that are recognized in the industry as the world's best in Managed Pressure Drilling. You will be part of a team of innovators that are equipped with the tools to develop and introduce new control systems, components, and electrical systems for equipment such as power sources, manifolds, riser systems and rotating control devices. Your team will see a product from the spark of an idea through manufacturing and operational success with the potential to shape and change the landscape of the Energy Industry.

Job Requirements
  • Design data acquisition and control systems for Managed Pressure Drilling operations by gathering detailed requirements, selecting existing technologies and developing new technologies.
  • Innovate and test new concepts driven by internal or external customer and business requirements.
  • Develop new concepts for automation and control systems to continue leading the industry in cutting-edge Manage Pressure Drilling technologies.
  • Lead and support efforts toward energy transition and green initiatives for new and existing equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide input into a variety of R&D projects relating to Managed Pressure Drilling.
  • Serve as a link between hardware and software teams.
  • Develop documentation and work instructions for use of existing and new products, direct communication with users to train and troubleshoot deployed units
  • Solve problems through the translation of business requirements.
  • Support the commercialization of new products.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 0-2+ years related work experience and/or at least one internship or co-op with related experience
  • Understanding of designing electric control systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with electrical design drafting tools (e.g. AutoCAD, E-Plan)
  • Ability to design PLC systems
  • Knowledge of designing systems for hazardous area applications
